Being a Mom is hard. Being a stay at home Mom has its challenges as one could feel a tremendous sense of loneliness and isolation. All of a sudden, what I have been planning and wanting for years has happened. I am a Mom:) My twins were around six months old. It is every parent's wish to bond with their children from birth. However, after having no physical contact with my sons from birth to 5 days, I did not feel like a mother. Then having my sons in NICU meant, I lost control over my babies for four weeks. For 4 weeks, I had NO choice over whom looked after them, fed them, injected daily for various tests. Strangers doing a 'job'.

Pictures taken before the boys came home from NICU, four weeks after they were born.

I wake up to a quiet house on the 25th December 2005. It is Christmas Day. The Chrtistmas tree is not set up. I am a practicing Buddhist and my husband Olaf, a Catholic. I have given birth to two babies - twin boys at 32 weeks gestation 9 days ago. The Nursery is not set up. The buggy (stroller...
